Arthur Ussher was born abt 1588 in Ireland, the son of Sir William Ussher and Isabella Loftus. He was Deputy Clerk of the Privy Counsellor. He lived at Donnybrook, County Dublin.

He married Judith Newcomen, daughter of Sir Robert Newcomen, 1st Bt. and Catherine Molyneux.

He died on 2 March 1628, drowned while fording the Dodder. [2]

Funeral Certificate " Arthur Usher, sonn and heir of Sir William Usher, Knt,. deceased 2nd March being Moondai 1628, wife Judith daughter of Sir. R Newcomen, Knt by whom he left issue. Was drowned at Donabrooke."
