Artie "Pop" Nethery, 87, formerly of 160 N. Keats Ave., died Saturday at Filson Care Home. He was a native of Spencer County, a retired employee of General Distillery Corp., and a member of Clifton Heights Christian Church. Survivors include three daughters, Ruby C. Hall, Roma Conn and Margie Humes; two sons, Howard J. and Paul W. Nethery; three brothers, Omer and Arthur Nethery, both of Mount Eden, and Rafel Nethery of Simpsonville; 17 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Arch L. Heady & Son Hikes Point Funeral Home, 4109 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday.
