Since 15 July 2006, i have been married to Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole. we had been together since September 2004. In January 2008, we unfortunatly almost separated after allegations were made that i had affairs with three other women, however i disputed the allegations, and have thankfully stayed with Cheryl.

Ireleased an autobiography in 2006, My Defence, which sold only 4,000 copies in the first six weeks of release my former teammate, Jens Lehmann, criticised me for writing an autobiography when i was only 25.

While researching for my autobiography, I discovered he is a distant cousin of American R&B singer Mariah Carey!!!
