Obituary: Augustyna Jumbeck, 79, 214 1/2 E. Third Street, died at 10:40AM Sunday at her home after an illness of two years. She was born January 3, 1875 in Rekowo, Poland and came to this country 77 years ago living in the Pine Creek, Wisconsin vicinity until coming to Winona in 1920. She was a member of the Holy Rosary and Sacred Heart societies and Third Order of St. Francis at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Survivors are her husband, Isadore; four sons: Frank, Milwaukee, WI; Isadore Jr., at home; James, Winona; and Bernard, Los Angeles, CA; three daughters: Mrs. John (Martha) Richter, Winona; Mrs. Fred (Mary) Olsen, Chicago; and Mrs. Hans (Betty) Barbian, Milwaukee, WI; 15 grand-children; 3 great grand-children; three brothers: the Rev. John Guzinski, Denver, CO; Joseph, Rochester, MN; Leo, Dodge, WI; and two sisters: the Misses Martha and Pauline Guzinski, Winona. Her husband and she celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on February 5, 1951. Double funeral services were held Wednesday at 9AM at St. Stanislaus Church for Mrs. Jumbeck and her brother-in-law, Bernard Jumbeck, Fountain City, WI, who died Sunday following injuries received when struck by a car on Highway 35. The Rt. Rev. N. F. Grulkowski officiated. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Pine Creek, Wisconsin.
