Avery Clarence Whittaker

~• a coal miner in Canebrake who was accused of shooting Fleming "F. M." Muncy in self-defense. He does not seem to have ever had charges preferred against him. The 1933 Christmas eve shooting sent Muncy to a clinic where he died the next day.
