"Glenny, Michael Valentine Guybon (1927–1990), Russian scholar and translator, was born at 45 Devonshire Street, London, on 26 September 1927, the only child of Arthur Willoughby Falls Glenny (d. 1947) and his wife, Avice Noel Boyes. His father was an RAF officer, rising to the rank of air commodore, and his mother, a South African, drove ambulances in the Second World War." - http://oxfordindex.oup.com/view/10.1093/ref:odnb/60865

On FamilySearch George and Avice's child is a son - but I think with the names Avice and Noel she is more likely female. The Baptism record cited does not include gender The Baptism register was signed by Rev George Ogilvie - a remarkable personality who had the nick name of Grog.
