About Avraham Adolf Klein
Rina Talmore:
Avraham was a Rabbi in Csabrendek, Hungary. My mother Erica remembered that they used to come to Grado (where the Goldbergers had a hotel) and Avraham did the kosher slaughter (Shchita) there.
Avraham and Sara Klein escaped to Palestina in 1942 (without Bozsi. She and Geza were already in Israel since the 1930's).
It was the last transport out of Hungary, after which the borders were closed. They were very lucky to get out then.
They lived on 68 Frishman in Tel Aviv. Vera Ramaty (Klein) remembers the following story: Someone knocked on their door and wanted to sell them a lot on Dizengoff Square for 5 lirot. Avraham said: "Why should I buy land in the middle of a desert, there is nothing but sand there".
Which proves that he was no businessman...
