About Barbara Eubanks
"The sorrows of the sorely stricken family of Mr. Enos Eubanks, of near Carmel, culminated last Friday in the death of the wife and mother. Mrs. Barbara Eubanks expired on Friday afternoon about 2 o'clock, after a sickness of four weeks with typhoid fever. She tenderly nursed the others until she herself was taken down. Mrs. Eubanks was about forty-six years of age, an affectionate wife and a devoted mother. She was a consistent member of the M.E. Church, and her life was such that her dear ones "sorrow not as those without hope" but may expect to meet her again. She was laid to rest in the Cynthiana cemetery on Saturday afternoon. The sympathy of every heart that has a throb of pity for suffering humanity, goes out to this afflicted and bereaved family."

"Mrs. Enos Eubanks died on the 29th day of April. Enos Eubanks family consisted of himself and wife and seven children. Only two were able to follow Mrs. Eubanks to the graveyard, Cora and Nolia, the other six all down with typhoid fever. It is said by many old folks that such a case of affliction has never been known in out country."
