Barbara L. Burger

WADSWORTH -- Barbara L. (Miller) Kilmer, 90, of Wadsworth, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Altercare of Wadsworth, after a period of declining health.

She was born June 10, 1927, in Wadsworth, to Nathan and Gladys (Rohrer) Burger and married Monroe Miller on March 23, 1945. He died Aug. 11, 1992. She then married Ralph Kilmer Sr. on May 15, 1993. He preceded her in death March 18, 2007.

Barbara accepted Christ as her savior at age 17 and was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church, where she attended faithfully. She enjoyed reading, taking pictures, word and card games, painting, quilting, singing and always had a good sense of humor, even in the last years while in failing health.

Surviving are sons, James Miller of Seville, John (Dawn) Miller of Wadsworth, David (Lori) Miller of Gray, Tenn. and Timothy Miller of Seville; daughters, Martha (Ray) Scaggs of Rittman, Sherlyn (Dennis) Myers of Wooster, Gloria (Don) Johnson of Vero Beach, Fla. and Eunice Boyes of Rittman; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Opal Wertz of Wadsworth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Janice Carol Miller; sisters, Maxine Lackey and Eunice Weckbacher; and a daughter-in-law, Darlene Miller.

Services will be Friday, June 16 at 11 a.m. at Auble-Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Drive, Rittman, where friends may call Friday from 10-11 a.m. The Rev. Timothy Short will officiate.
