About Bartholomew Hathaway
Bartholomew was Ann Hathaway (William Shakespeare's wife) brother.
In his father' will Bartholomew was left the use of some of hi father's farmland and was asked to serve as a guide to his stepmother in matters of farming the property left to her and to comfort the younger children.
Bartholomew Hathaway and William Shakespear married within days of each other. It is likely that they were at each others weddings.
In 1605 to 1609 Bartholomew Hathaway was Churchwarden at Trinity Church. In 1610 a deed was drawn up allowing him to purchase Hewlands Farm and some other properties.
