Bartholomew More: Born on Tuesday 10th February 1540 (1) Said to have conformed to the Church of England, to have been unmarried, and to have died young of the plague.

Notes

1. recorded by his father in the family's 'Book of Hours' (a Prayer Book). It is a good example of Tudor spelling: "Bartyllmewe More my vjth sone was borne the xth day of ffebruary at xj of the clok of the night the xxxjth yere of the raigne of King Henry the viijth......."
