About Bartlet Young Hilliard

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/54256996/Bartlet-Young-Hilliard

Bartlet Young Hilliard, tried to enlist in the 37th N.C. on July 15 1862 but was rejected for some heath problem and instead joined Company I of the 58th North Carolina. This company served with the Army of Tennessee from Chickamauga to Atlanta. If I’m not mistaken he was among those solders who deserted and returned home after the Union forces broke up the Confederate forces defending that city. He died in 1914 in Watauga, County NC. His general burial location has been presumed, but no marker has been located to confirm It exactly. - Lindsay Nuttall Gr-Gr-Gr Grandchild.
