Avraham, the son of Ben Nettie and Bernard, was born on 07/25/1902 in Lovhovh, Slovakia (then part of Hungary). Avraham received a Jewish education and graduated high school (year six) . He studied metalwork in gold and then ran a large trade in this sector until the outbreak of war - World War II. In the summer of 1940 he sailed with his wife aboard - immigrant Ship "Pancho" down the Danube. He worked on the ship arranging the welfare of desperate refugees. On Erev Yom - Kippur, the ship was wrecked on a desert island in the Aegean Sea for a week he helped maintain order and supply of food. An Italian ship eventually moved them to Rhodes and from there to Italy. When they arrived Jewish soldiers from Italy and Israel and heard of their situation and after consideration arranged for them to be transported to Israel. When Avraham immigrated to Israel in 1945 he settled in Kfar Giladi. Worked in plantations and irrigation systems. He attended courses and seminars by "KM" trying to reach perfection. Avraham took an active part in the cultural life and parties held at Kibbutz including playing his violin. He was an excellent rifle shot and machine gunnist and took an active part in defending the area.

In early June 1948 he was sent to guard Kfar Giladi positions. He then was transferred to guard against the Jordanians as reinforcements arrived. He then stood against the Syrian invaders until the very last minute of his life in an effort to prevent the progress of the Syrians at Rosh Pina.
