Well known couple, Belinda and her husband Pierre de Kock, both in their 50's, were murdered on their farm in the area of ​​Aurora near Piketberg in the Western Cape, over the weekend of 2nd to 4th June 2023. The couples bodies were found on the farm on Sunday after they were last seen alive early Friday evening.

Police spokesperson, Capt. FC Van Wyk said one of the couple's dogs ran in and out of the farmhouse when an employee arrived on the farm. The employee investigated and found Belinda's body in the bedroom. Pierre's body was found in an outbuilding. He sustained a stab wound to the neck.

Detectives attached to the Western Cape police's organized crime unit have since been assigned to investigate the case. No arrests have been made so far. The preliminary investigation indicates that nothing was stolen from the farmhouse.

Charl Vercueil, Pierre's cousin, told Maroela Media on Monday morning that Pierre and Belinda had been married for more than 30 years. "They were good, hard-working people."
