Belva Morse Williams, 79, is survived by her husband of 55 years, Clarence D. (Red) Williams of Columbia, SC; son, C. Danny Williams of Columbia, SC; daughters and spouses, Sherry and Hal Fair of Wagener, SC, Dawn and Wesley Gilliland of Waco, TX, and Wendi and Tim Mundy of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Rainey (Brandon) Chadwell, Banks (Mardi) Fair, Joseph Gilliland, Adam Gilliland, Ashley Mundy, Sloan Mundy and David Mundy; and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Williams was the daughter of Georgia Bowden and Richard F.B. Morse. Born in Jacksonville, FL, September 17, 1929, Belva graduated Reynolds High School in Winston Salem, NC, and Queens College in Charlotte, NC, with a BA degree in Bible. She received her MA in English from Charleston Southern. She taught Bible and worked as house mother for four years at the Westminster School in Atlanta, GA, and is remembered by many for her devoted years as a HS guidance counselor and English teacher, a Sunday school teacher, a Disciple Bible Study teacher/instructor and a Stephen Ministry leader. To her family she was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, and master teacher who gave graciously, played hard, and entertained with finesse.
