Benjamin Allen Sammons

Benjamin Allen Sammons was the son of Gilliam & Mary Ann (Weathers) Sammons. The family went from Sussex Co., VA to Logan Co., KY before Benjamin was born. The father, Gilliam Sammons, left the family when Benjamin was just a young boy and he and his brother were raised by their mother. Benjamin married Georgia Ann Chastain, d/o Edward Gather & Hannah (Greer) Chastain, on 25 Feb 1864 in Logan Co., KY. Benjamin & Georgia & family came to Benton Co., AR about 1875. His mother, Mary, came later and died in Benton Co. in 1904. Benjamin was a member of the Masons.
