A genealogy written between 1897 and 1904 by the wife of a seventh generation descendant, Nancy Bemis (Mrs. Orville K.) Butterfield, says that Benjamin and Elizabeth Butterfield "lived at Frances Hill near Westford [MA]," which was the same phrase used in George Gordon's 1890 Butterfield genealogy for NEGHS.
