About Benjamin Greene, Sr
His grandfather, Benjamin (3), purchased 80 acres of land in Hopkinton in 1720 from George Reynolds. It was passed down to (John) Matthew Greene (4), and on to Benjamin (5) when he became of age. His mother, Judith (Maxson) Greene remarried David Rogers (widower) in 1790. The younger sister of Benjamin (5) was Sarah ("Sally") Greene , who married Zebulon Rogers, brother of Frances Grace, Benjamin (5)'s wife. So Brother-Sister Greene married Sister-Brother Rogers.
