Frank Hill, age 45, Deputy Sheriff and jailer, was killed when 3 inmates attempted a jail break in Wichita. Hill had been a Deputy Sheriff for 1 year.
Hill, of 1831 N. Topeka, Wichita, was survived by his wife, Lulu, his mother, Mrs. Jeanette Hill, a daughter, Lucie, two brothers, James Edward Hill of Chicago and Robert B. Hill of Wichita, and a sister, Mrs. T. R. Graveley of Wichita.
The funeral for Frank Hill was held at 2:30 pm., Friday, at St. Pauls A. M. E. Church, Wichita, with the Rev. C. E. Brooks officiating. Citizens Mortuary was the funeral home and the burial was at Highland Cemetery, Wichita, Kansas.
