About Benjamin Nye
BENJAMIN NYE, b. say 1659; (if he was 16 years of age on 23 April 1675), and d. umm. and intestate, together with over fifty other Plymouth Colony soldiers, north of Old Rehoboth (at what is now Central Falls, Rhode Island), Sunday, 26 March 1676, at the "Ambush & Fight of Captain Pierce" in King Philip's War. On 23 April 1675 Benjamin Nye was recorded for the first time in the records of Sandwich as "Benjamin Nye, Sen". suggesting that a younger man of that name lived in the town and had come of age at least to bear arms. - Origins of Benjamin Nye pg 20
