About Ebenezer Nye
EBENEZER NYE was born say 1647, and died at Falmouth, Massachusetts, before 20 May 1734 when administration was granted to Melatiah Nye of Falmouth for the estate of his "Father Ebenezer Nye Late of Falmouth." The inventory was taken on 15 June 1734 and totalled £319-0s-11d. He married at Sandwich 17 December 1675, SARAH GIBBS.
In February 1689 the Town of Falmouth granted lands at North Falmouth "to John and Ebenezer Nye, sons of Benjamin of Sandwich," which establishes that Ebenezer Nve was the son of Benjamin Nye. They had four or five children. - Origins of Benjamin, pg 23
The Nye family are the descendants of John Nye, who had two sons: John Nye, jr., of Sandwich, and Ebenezer Nye of Falmouth, born 1650.
