Benjamin Sawyer, died at his residence in Logan county, Ky., Aug 20 1875, aged ninety-nine years, one month and twenty two days. He was born in Mechlenburg county, North Carolina, June 28, 1776. In 1800 he married Elizabeth Henderson who died Oct 25, 1843 and he never remarried.
The oldest daughter, Mary Enloe and the youngest, Cynthia McMillan are living in this county. There are three of his grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren buried in Union Grove Cemetery. there are four of his grandchildren and eleven of his great grandchild living in this county.
