Baptism

According to his Tulbagh Baptism Record (also see Sources), his names were Willem Johannis, i.e. no mention of "Andries" - however in this era not all names were written down on these documents (JM Blomerus 15/5/2022). Parents: Willem van den Berg and Sagaria Petronella Ludick.

However, when he signed the Death Notice of his first wife, he signed as "W J A Bergh".
