Funeral Rites For B. A. (Sam) Lamb
Funeral Services for Bernard Alonzo (Sam) Lamb, 21, were conducted Monday afternoon at three O'Clock at Zion Church. The officiating Ministers were the Rev O. C. Smith, the Rev J. E. Wilkes and the Rev Braswell D. Carter. Interment followed in Bethel Cemetery. Swain's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrt. Lamb died early Sunday morning at his home near Baxley.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Alonzo lamb, Baxley: two sisters, Mrs. Howard Osteen and Mrs. Emil Eason, Surrency; four brothers, W. T. Lamb, Darien, Wyman Lamb, Surrency, Edwin and Alton Lamb, Baxley; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were nephews, Dean Carter, Calvin Taylor, Carl Tillman, Donald Davis, Leroy Carter and Earl Kicklighter.
Honorary Pallbearers were Errie DeLoach, Elem Hall, Benny Coursey, Henery Sellers, Herman Robinson, Steve Mills, Lacey Hart, Watson Norris, Robert Murphy, Ira Easton, Derrell Tillman and Ward Beecher.
