Bernice Frances McMillin

Bernice F. McMillin, 79, of Salina, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Society, Minneapolis. She was born Aug. 3, 1932, in Victoria, the daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth Younger.

Bernice was a homemaker and had done housekeeping for others. She was a member of TOPS Club and St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. Bernice enjoyed sewing and bingo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. McMillin Sr.; and two brothers, Ralph Younger and Cletis Younger. Bernice is survived by her two children, Donald J. McMillin Jr., of Salina, and Lisa Walker and husband J.A.; two brothers, Nathan Younger, of Commerce City, Colo., and Frank Younger and wife Carla, of Syracuse; three sisters, Irene Lindenberger, of Victoria, Marilyn Prewo and husband Tom, of Hays, and Geraldine Ruder, of Hays; one sister-in-law, Rosie Younger, of Great Bend; and one granddaughter, Amber Broshar, of Salina.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Monday, July 2, at Ryan Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, 230 E. Cloud. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Society, Minneapolis, or the Alzheimer's Association, both in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401.
