About Berta Reichler
Marriage (Marienbad / Mariánské Lázně, 24 Jul 1904): NAD 167, HBMa 1175 MARIÁNSKÉ LÁZNĚ (o. Cheb) O 1897-1911, folio 24, record 59, image 26/45 (Vademecum). The birth record of unnamed girl Reichler incorrectly identifies Berta's father as "Elias Reichler." Other records make clear that her father was Salomon Reichl.
Death record: NAD 167, HBMa 1178 MARIÁNSKÉ LÁZNĚ (o. Cheb) Z 1896-1946 (i), 1947-1949, folio 45, record 461, image 47/97 (Vademecum). When Berta was dying of breast cancer, her husband divided a large dose of morphine between the two of them, so as to end both their lives; but while his share was fatal to him, Berta's was not fatal to her.
