About Bertha Harrison
from another researcher see http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/th/read/NORWAY/2015-03/1426239248
"...While her name sounds English, she had originally been Birgitte Henriksen, b. 1879 in Sandefjord, Vestfold, Norway, emigrated with her family in 1890. Bertha was sister to my maternal grandfather. I have no memory of ever meeting her, however.
Ole and Bertha were married 1905 in Breckenridge, Wilkin, MN, and lived in the upper NW counties of ND all their married lives. He was a farmer and preacher. His siblings lived mostly in ND, a few in MN.
One interesting story about Bertha and 3 of their 4 daughters (they had no sons) is that during WW II, while the daughters were young and unmarried, and times were bad in ND, Bertha and the three girls came to Seattle, where there was lots of war work. Boeing hired women to build airplanes, and other companies were making parts for the planes. My grandparents' 5 kids were grown and gone, so the Fatland women lived with them while they were being "Rosie the Riveters." One of them liked the area so much that she stayed for several years after the war, working as a teacher."
