Bertha Maria Catherine Helm

Bertha was a Missionary worker in Malawi between 1897 and 1927. 2

Noted events in her life were:

• Historical. 3 This source gives a glowing tribute to Bertha and her missionary work in Nyasaland. Dr.Murray, head of the Nyasa mission wrote that no-one in that missionary field, surpassed her dedication. Humilility was the cornerstone of her life.

Due to ill health she returned to Wyders River just weeks before her mother died.
