This reference also refers to " Die Geskiedenis van die Kerkgebou te Wydersrivier" which gives more information regarding the partitioning of the farm among a number of the HELM relatives. What is currently known as Wyders River is thatportion that Henry acquired, and it was there that the church was constructed. In contrast, all the other evidence supports the oral tradition passed on to Herbert Helm and Gwen Noall that Henry William Helm acquired the farm much earlier, soon after marying Anna, maybe in the early 1860's and that their eldest son was born there. This source goes on to relate this supporting evidence • Occupation. 8 Henry farmed well creating beautiful and bountiful orchards as there was lots of irrigable land. He acquired one of the first gramaphones and the farm also boasted a croquet lawn. In his later years he became somewhat inactive and quiet, forever smoking his pipe.
