Funeral services for Miss Bertina Erickson, 76, are being held today, Feb 3, at 2p.m. at Glenwood Lutheran Church.
Miss Erickson, 512 Oak Street., Decorah, died at 1:20 am. Friday, Jan. 31, at Smith Memorial Hospital, of a stroke. She had been in the hospital for six weeks.
Burial is in Glenwood Cemetery. The Rev. S. O. Sorlien is officiating and the Winneshiek Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are Alex Evenrud, Arthur Evenrud, Alex Dahlen, Jule Moe, Arthur Stevens, and Helmer Spilde. Organist is Mrs.Donald Lee; soloist is Mrs. Leonard Crawford; and floral committee is Mrs. Sarah Evenrud and Mrs. Arthur Evenrud.
Miss Erickson was born Aug. 16, 1887, in Glenwood Township [Winneshiek county, Iowa]. She remained single. She was a member of Glenwood Lutheran Church.
Surviors include four nephews and one niece: Norman, Stanley, Clifford, and Merle Borseth, and Mrs. Sadie Lensch all of Decorah.
