Brief overview:

Bertina (58) attacked on her farm Ranchero outside Musina, Limpopo early in the morning on 18th February 2008. The police looked for the attackers of a farmer's wife and a farm worker. Supt. Limpopo police spokesman Mohale Ramatseba said three men broke into a window of the house. They tied up Genis, who was home alone, with ropes and forced to open the safe.

Ramatseba said the robbers took two pistols and a gun from the safe. They also stole an undisclosed amount of money and a cellphone. The attackers then fled on foot.

Musina police spokeswoman Capt. Debra Bob said that no one had been arrested in connection with the attack.

By October 2008 Bertina was presumed dead.
