About Bertram William Henry Angove

He saw active service in Boer War, was then in Imperial Army in India and fought in WWI Bertie Henry Angove Military Record taken from his army papers: Enlisted in the Queenstown Rifle Voluntiers on 1st June 1901 Enlisted with the RH and; RFA,92nd Regiment, Woolwich, England.Regiment # 50430 - Rank Driver - and served for 11 years 176 days, and was in the Army Reserve thereafter for 209 days.He enlisted at Bloemfontein on the 14.4.1908 (claimed he was 21 years and; 11 months) and was first posted to the RFA. Transferred to Army Reserve 7.9.1919. He was discharged on the 13.4.1920 and was awarded the 1914 Star; the British War Medal and was awarded the Victory Medal on the 3rd September, 1921. He had a dark complexion, brown eyes and black hair. He was 1.68 m tall and had tattoos on both arms.
