Bessie Gilliam

Mrs. Bessie Branhan Gilliam, 89, of Olive Hill went home to be with the Lord at her residence in Olive Hill.

Mrs. Gilliam is a daughter of the late Robert and Minnie Barker Branhan.

Bessie was a homemaker, loving sister and friend to all. She has been a Christian since 1997 and attended the Mountain Top Chapel Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of eight years, Estill Gilliam; three brothers, John C. Branhan, Morton Branhan and Henry Thomas Branhan; two sisters, Irene Boggs and Edna Branhan; three brothers-in-law, Oscar Greenhill, Norman Kiser and Ed Sparks.

Four sisters, Edith Greenhill, Minnie Mae Sparks, Neddie Maddix and Grace Kiser, all of Olive Hill, survive her. She was a godmother to a host of nieces and nephews.
