Bethania H Cost Ozley Johnston (Lindsey) was born circa 1803 in Tennessee, United States. Her parents were David Elijah Lindsey, Jr. and Mary Lindsey (Casey).She was married three times. Ten children.

Bethania married Eli Cost on January 20, 1846 in Alabama, USA. Together they had the following children:

4. Nancy Caroline Cost;
5. Allen Perry Cost;
6. Andrew Cost;
7. Sarah Evaline Cost;
8. Henry Harrison Cost.

Bethania married Gilbert Ozley. Together they had the following children:

1. Amos Ausley.

Bethania married Thomas Johnson on August 6, 1850 in Barbour County, Alabama, USA. Together they had the following children:

1. General Lafayette Johnson.

She died on May 20, 1884 in Geneva, Geneva County, Alabama, United States and was buried in Hurricane Baptist Church Cemetery, Clinton, Laurens County, South Carolina, United States.
