Per oral history from Max Rogers she and Delilah Nation were orphans. Joseph Nation was a brother 6 years younger.
Her name was Bethany Nations ( its in her own bible, in her own handwriting, which is in the possession of Patricia Brown who submitted the Daughters of the Republic of Texas application with scanned images) and she is buried in East Boone Prairie cemetery likely sister or first cousin of Delila Nation. Poss. related to Matilda Hancock.
Tombstone gives her birth date of Nov 3, 1797. Death in 1887. Last years of life in Franklin, TX with daughter Frances "Fanny" Rogers Brown, she lived most her years with son, Robert in Nacogdoches.
