We are descended from each of two of the sons of Bethiah and her husband, Thomas--Thomas Mansfield II and Benjamin Mansfield.
Bethiah and Thomas, wife and husband, were first cousins. Their common grandparents were Daniel Mansfield (1669-1728) and Hannah Johnson Mansfield (1671-1714).
Bethiah and Thomas resided at Central Street, Saugus and owned a fulling mill, grist mill, cider mill, and clothier shop.
Thomas's father, Daniel, died in January 1758 and Thomas in September 1758, both by accident. The property was divided among the heirs. More than one family shared the house. Many different members of the Mansfield and related families lived there in the following 150 years.
