Betty Duschinsky

Aunt Betty was and endless source of family stories. She and my Mother would share memories and I unfortunately did not appreciate it at the time. aunt Betty had the biggest library of Judaica and huge hand written family trees. Few people know that Betty was a first acting female Rabbi. When her Father passed away the community of Nagyszombat elected to wait until Betty finds a husband and he would become the future Rabbi. Until then they relied in practice on Betty to make all the important rulings. That was about 2 years.

I have just learnt that Aunt Betty was buried next to her first husband at the Kiryat Shaul Cemetery.
