She was born on July 12, 1926, in Erie, Kansas, to Guy and Ruby (LaRue) Whitworth.She graduated from Stark High School and attended a year of college.

She was married to Richard H. Bohling on July 19, 1946, in Erie, Kansas. He preceded her in death.She was a homemaker

Survivors include two sons, Carter Wayne Bohling of Wichita Falls, TX, and Michael Bohling of Topeka, KS; a daughter, Beverly Rice of Lenexa, KS; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lela Akers of Wichita, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Richard.Funeral will be Friday, June 12, 2009, at Otterbein United Methodist Church.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Chanute, Kansas.Memorials may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church and may be left with the funeral home. Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel, Chanute, KS, is in charge of arrangements
