Friday, July 8, 2005 Betty Hutchison

BLOOMINGTON -- Betty O. Hutchison, 83, of Albuquerque, N.M., died at 8:25 p.m. Saturday (July 2, 2005) in Bloomington, joining her husband Col. Robert F. "Hutch" Hutchison, who preceded her in death Dec. 12, 1966. She will join Hutch at Santa Fe National Cemetery in a private family ceremony Friday. Following the burial, there will be a reception for all of Betty's friends from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday at Fox and Hound, 4301 The Lane at I-25 in Albuquerque.

Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, is handling local arrangements.

Betty is survived by her son, Jim (Rusty); her daughter, Jill; her sister, Bobbye (Lew) Farr; sister-in-law, Mary Lou (Paul) Winkler; two grandchildren, Shannon (Tibor) Kreiter and Heather (Kenneth) Myers; and four great-grandchildren, Corey, Erin, Kenny and MacKenzie; and her special friend, Linda Herman.

Betty had a zest for life and spent her golden years flying in a hot-air balloon, bungee jumping, white-water rafting and flying in a steerman, a glider or a helicopter, when not playing bridge or bowling.

Her family always brought a twinkle to her eye and we are all grateful that she touched our lives and showed us how to live and die. She will be greatly missed but her legacy will live on. We love you!
