About Betty Evelyn Michl

Betty Evelyn Logan was born in Stephenville, Texas the daughter of James & Eula Logan. James Logan was a teacher and principal and moved several times during Betty's childhood. She graduated from Abilene HS in Abilene, Texas. Shortly after high school she met and married Gerald "Mike" Michl. THeir wedding was on October 3, 1946 at Fairmont Methodist Church in Abilene, Texas. She and Mike and baby Betty Kay (Mainord) moved to Illinois north of Chicago in 1949. Sharon Ann (Dold) was born in Lake Forest Illinois and Mary Lyn was born in Waukegan. They lived in Northern Illinois until 1963 when they moved to Newton, Illinois, Mike's hometown. In 1978 they moved to Weatherford, Texas where they remained for the rest of their lives. After a career as a mother, Betty worked as a florist and a banker. Besides three daughters, they had five grandchildren; Matt, Mark and Tommy Mainord and Carrie and Michael Dold.
