Betty Martha Wilson

WEST DES MOINES - Betty Wilson passed away May 27, 2012, after a 31 year battle with genetic cancer. Her body has been donated to the University of Iowa Medical School and there will be no services per her request.
Betty was born October 11, 1934 to Virginia and Gilbert Stueck in Vinton, IA. She attended the University of Northern Iowa where she received a two year Teaching Degree. She taught school one year. She enjoyed her life as a mother and homemaker. She liked decorating her homes, antiquing, cooking and gardening. She played tennis and enjoyed all spectator sports. She liked attending her children and grandchildren's athletic events; especially track and cross-country meets.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Stueck.
The family would like to thank her friends at Fairmeadows Village, the Hospice of Central Iowa Metro Team and the staff of Bright Kavanagh House for their care and support.
