Shawnee resident Beulah Alice Deatherage, 95, died Friday, Aug. 31, at a local nursing home.
She was born Feb. 5, 1912, in Talco, Texas, to George Washington Blalock and Sarah (Flanagan) Serbonner.
Beulah was married Nov. 12, 1927, in Tecumseh to Luther Marvin Deatherage.
She was a housewife and homemaker and a member of Order of Eastern Star.
Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 9 siblings.
Survivors include her six children, Marvin Deatherage of Seminole, Don Deatherage and wife, Julia, of Shawnee, Maxine Alexander and husband, Jack, of San Antonio, Texas, Marcene Massey and husband, Eugene, of Shawnee, Lou Benton and husband, Lee, of Oklahoma City, and Deanie Wells and husband, David, of Shawnee; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lorene Blalock of Vacaville, Calif.; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
