Bjella, Beverly Born 1921 in Grand Forks, ND. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Graduated from University of North Dakota and after a brief career as fashion copywriter in Chicago and New York, married Arley R. Bjella in December 1948. Moved to Williston, ND where they lived until 1972 then moved to Minneapolis when Arley became CEO and later Chairman of Lutheran Brotherhood. Active in League of Women Voters, PEO and a strong advocate for special education. Avid golfer and lover of all things Norwegian. Dedicated to the support of Arley and son, Lance. Preceded in death by husband, Arley; parents, Clarence and Clara Heen; sisters, Ruby Heen and Lilah Havig; brothers, Roy and Milo Heen. Survived by brother, Warren Heen of Chicago; sons, Lance Bjella of Mpls and Brian Bjella of Bismarck; and daughter, Bryn Parchman of Baltimore; grandchildren, Kristin, Karly, & Kirk Bjella and Jack, Andy, & Kallie Parchman. Memorial Service Wednes- day 2 PM, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4100 Lyndale Ave S. Private interment Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation 1 hour prior to service at the church.
