About Bill Odenkirk
Bill Odenkirk (born October 13, 1965) is an American comedy writer.
Odenkirk was born in Naperville, Illinois. He is the younger brother of American comedian Bob Odenkirk, and worked as a writer, producer and actor on sketch comedy TV show Mr. Show with Bob and David, which featured his brother as co-star. Odenkirk went on to write for Tenacious D and Futurama. He has written and executive produced episodes of The Simpsons.
He holds a PhD in Inorganic chemistry from the University of Chicago and is known amongst writers for his powerful intellect. He was a co-inventor of 2,2'-Bis(2-indenyl) biphenyl.
