About Yittel Eisenstadt, Second Wife

GEDCOM Note

While some claim she was the daughter of Rabbi Yaakov Emdin, others dispute that. ( Meor haChaim, 1960 p.22, Shut Le'Horos Nasson V1 p.15 )

As far as I as able to research I was not able to find proof that she was indeed the daughter of Rabbi Emdin (and found the basis of those claims questionable to go along with it as of now). MH:N61 MH:I742

PMS According to Avraham Benedikt in Beer Hamoadim p.402 there are a couple more difficulties is saying that R Binyamin was a son-in-law of the Yaavetz BUT;

He heard from Yitzchak Shiff from NY that he heard clearly from his grt grandfather Shmuel Zanvil Schiff (who was a expert in the genealogy) that R Binyamin did not have any children from his first wife so he married the SECOND time the dau of the Yaavetz (that can help answer Elisha Koppel's Question about why the Panim Meirot didnt mention the Chacham Tzvi as his mechutan and make the years possible).

Also that Yitzchak Shiff heard from Yehuda Hirschler who was a secretary and bookkeeper in Eisenstadt for 30 years that while there he searched the archives of Eisenstadt and Lackenbach and found there a letter that clearly titles R Binyamin among other titles "son-in-law" of the Gaon Yaakov of Altona.
