Bob McKillop

Bob married a krige - an aunt of Uys Kri the famous South African writer. Ruth thinks they had 3 children. They lived in Swellendam, the wife and children went to the river to bath. Friedel was the youndest. the mother and elder children went int the river and left Friedel sitting on the bank - the current washed them away and mother and children were drowned. Friedel's aunts Nellie and Madge brought her up. She was about Arnold's age. Uys krige mentions the drowning in one of his books. Bob remarried and lived in Pretoria.
