Boyd Kington Bradshaw, 73, of Idaho Falls,, died Dec. 8, 1993, of a heart attack. He was a technician and manager in nuclear waste management for Westinghouse at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory.
He was born Feb. 13, 1920, at Wellsville, Utah, to Orrice Barnes Bradshaw and Josephine Wyatt Kington Bradshaw. He grew up in Wellsville and graduated from Wellsville schools. He attended Utah State University, where he participated in wrestling, football, basketball and baseball.
On Sept. 14, 1943, he married Mary Louise Hardman at Louisville, Ky. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple. He served in the Army during World War II in the South Pacific as a master sergeant. After the war, they moved from Louisville to Wellsville, where he worked as an auto mechanic in his own garage.
He and his wife lived in Logan for a short time. In 1952, they moved to Idaho Falls where he joined Westinghouse.
An active member of the LDS Church, he served as Elders Quorum president, Young Men's president, high councilman, stake missionary, ward and stake athletic director and bishop of the Idaho Falls 16th Ward. He enjoyed fishing, camping and sports.
Survivors include his wife of Idaho Falls; children, Brent Hardman Bradshaw, Craig H. Bradshaw, Richard Boyd Bradshaw, and Mrs. Kim (Jill) Sibbett, all of Idaho Falls; brother and sisters, Dale Bradshaw of West Point, Utah, Mrs. Elden (Evelyn) Thompson and Marguerite Lundquist, both of Ogden, Utah; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a twin sister, a brother, two grandchildren and his parents.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at noon at the Idaho Falls LDS 16th Ward Chapel with Bishop Don Gerard officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Wood Funeral Home in Idaho Falls and for one hour prior to services at the church.
