- Bogart was born in Delft, where he spent the last year of the war in hiding. His father bestowed his own name, Abraham van den Boogaart, on his son. It was a 1950s Parisian gallery owner who suggested the switch to Bram Bogart.

- 1935 : 2-yr postal course of drawing lessons paid by his father
- 1933-1936 : education en FRA : l’Ecole des Arts et Métiers - the trade of painter and decorator
- 1939 : becomes full-time painter thanks to the support of dealer BENNEWITZ
- 1943-1944 : Academie de la Haye~NLD
- 1944-1945 : lives clandestinely in Delft~NLD
- 1946 : moving to FRA : Paris and South of France
- 1953 : meeting collector Steel de VRIES
- 1958 : becoming friendly with Swedish painter Bengt LINDSTROM and FONTANA
- 1959 : moving to Brussels-BEL, taking a studio in a house owned by the art critic Jean DYPREAU
- 1951-1960 : living along with several members of COBRA including Karel APPEL, Corneille, Steven and Gilbert
- 1962 : Museum of Modern Art in Brussels~BEL buys one of his works – his first sale to an art gallery
- 1963 : PRIX de l’Association Belge des Critiques d’Art
- 1969 : takes Belgian citizenship
- 1969 : PRIX Europa painting prize, Ostende
- 1987 : PRIX Jules RAEYMAKERS
