D. Brás Maria José Baltazar da Piedade da Silveira e Lorena (17 December 1814, Santos-o-Velho - 16 January 1867, Santos-o-Velho) was the son of D. Nuno Maria José Baltazar da Silveira e Lorena (1793-1820), captain of infantry regiment number 22 and of D. Ana José de Assis da Câmara (1796-1869), born in Lisbon, being the eldest of three children.
Biography
He was 11th Count of Prado, 9th Marquis of Minas on January 15, 1842.
Commander of the Order of Christ and knight of the Order of the Tower and Sword, Peer of the kingdom; awarded the special medal of Elizabeth II, etc.
He married on May 8, 1842 at the Parish Church of the Incarnation of Lisbon, to Eugénia Maria de Sousa Holstein (March 6, 1813, Alcântara (Lisbon) - ?) daughter of the 1st Duke of Palmela D. Pedro de Sousa Holstein ( 1781-1850) and D. Eugénia Francisca Maria Ana Júlia Felizarda Apolónia Xavier Telles da Gama (1798-1848).
The title of Count of Prado was given to his eldest son. He had eight children:
D. Nuno Maria da Silveira e Lorena (September 11, 1843, Santos-o-Velho, Lisbon - ?) died without leaving a generation. He was 12th Count of Prado and 10th Marquis of Minas;
D. Pedro Maria da Silveira e Lorena (January 21, 1846, Santos-o-Velho, Lisbon - July 12, 1870, Santos-o-Velho, Lisbon) 13th Count of Prado and 11th Marquis of Minas. He also died without leaving a generation;
D. Alexandre Maria da Silveira e Lorena (17 September 1847, São Mamede (Lisbon) - 30 August 1903, Luanda, Angola) was 14th Count of Prado, 12th Marquis of Minas. Chief officer of the civil house of el-Rei, peer of the kingdom, civil engineer, director of the railways from Luanda to Ambaca.
He took office in the chamber of peers, where he succeeded his father, on July 21, 1890. Civil engineering course. Several senior positions, on the continent and in Africa. He succeeded in title to his two deceased brothers without heirs, his title being renewed on 2 November 1876;

D. Eugénia Maria das Dores da Silveira e Lorena (17 September 1854, Oeiras, Lisbon - ?);
D. Ana Maria da Silveira e Lorena (August 3, 1856, Santos-o-Velho, Lisbon - November 3, 1881, Santos-o-Velho, Lisbon) married in the Parish Church of Alcabideche, in Cascais, on November 27, 1880 with José da Silva Martens Ferrão Castelo Branco (November 13, 1847, Paris - March 21, 1909, Mercês (Lisbon), with generation.
He died at the age of 52, in the palace where he lived on Rua de São Francisco de Paula , number 6, parish of Santos-o-Velho, he is buried in a private vault in the Cemitério dos Prazeres.
