The genealogy of the de Chamblin family, which originated in the town of Chamblin, France (in aube between Troyes & Sens). As far back as can be traced, the first Chamblin was called the 'Earl of Tancarville.' They first settled in Fredericktown Co., VA. in a town called Fredericktown (now Winchester). Some of them moved to Loudoun Co., VA. & they became so prolific they scattered all over the south. They intermarried with Baylis, Davis, Wilson & other families., which is given in detail in the Tax Payers list of Loudoun Co.
